5th German Championship of Bakers

It will be exciting again this year at the German Bakers' Championship, which will be held for the 5th time at iba 2021.

Germany's most talented bakers will receive their trophies after the competition at the festive awards ceremony!


Who will be World Confectioner of the year? At iba.UIBC.CUP of Confectioners, the world's best confectioners create sweet pieces of art in a class of their own. Marvel at the enchanting sugar creations!

Who are the best bakers and confectioners in the world? At the iba.UIBC.CUP at iba 2018 you will experience unique competitions at the highest level!

  • At UIBC Junior World Confectioners' Championship Lyu Haoran from China took the coveted first place! Brazil, Germany, Iceland, Japan, Norway, Spain, Germany, Iceland, Japan, and Taiwan also participated in the competition. We congratulate!
  • At iba.UIBC.CUP of Bakers, the team from China around Zhou Bin and Peng Fudong prevailed in the competition with the baking teams from Norway, Germany, France, Japan, Peru, the Netherlands, Korea, Russia, Spain, Turkey and the USA and was celebrated on Monday evening at the award ceremony - Congratulations!
  • Nicole Mittmann and her cousin Patrick Mittmann from Wildberg and Sulz am Eck won the 4th German Championship of the Master Bakers. They were able to convince in the grand final and are now German Champions 2018. Congratulations!

At iba 2018 the most innovative products and developments from the baking and confectionery industry were once again honoured with coveted prizes: the iba Award, the DBZ iba trophy and the BakerMaker Award.
